Every kid loves a good theme party and a themed birthday party can be a real blast. As adults we think. “oh that has been done to death” but we must remember the parties are not for us. The children are experiencing these themes often for the very first time. Even if you have thrown a pirate party for another of your children there are things that you can do to make it different and exciting for a second and third go around. Take a look at some of the hottest fun birthday party ideas we found around the web.

  1. The Super Hero Birthday: With the resurgence of interest in the DC and Marvel Universes this could be just the ticket for you. Not only is this a fun birthday party theme for boys but girls can have these types of parties as well. There are many female super heroes to choose from.
  1. Agents of Shield Party: Kids do not have to be dressed too fancy for this one they can choose their favorite character from the show or make up new ones with original code names and dress code. Buying props is easy there are all sorts of children’s spy gear available online. Set up a caper for them to solve and let the fun begin.
  1. American Idol birthday parties can be loads of fun. One idea is to create your own “Golden Tickets”  to use as invitations. You can be creative with the wording but make sure they know that they will be performing. This should generate a lot of buzz. Those who do not feel comfortable competing can act as judges for the talent show. You can create your own stage with just a little imagination and recreate the look of the television set.
  1. Nintendo Dance Party:  Kids are going crazy for the dance party games from Nintendo. The best part is that there are dance party games for kids of all ages. Disney dance party, Nickelodeon (featuring everybody’s favorite Dora the Explorer, Hip Hop dance party and Just Dance. These are games that you can purchase for Wii or Nintendo that will keep them happy and excited for hours. Set the stage with party decorations and let the games begin.
  1. Western Hoe Down: For the little cowgirls and cow boys a western themed party is just the ticket.   You can choose something like the little house on the prairie, outlaws of the old west, Gold rush, buckaroo roundup or a good old fashioned Western cowboy BBQ. One great idea for a western theme is the cattle trail cookout.
  1. Tinkerbell: Girls will enjoy dressing as their favorite Disney Character and you can recreate pixie hollow inside or outside for an amazing fairy party. And if it is a coed party a great suggestion is to make it a fairy and lost boy party. I mean there are just so many ways to go with this. You could easily incorporate the Neverland pirates,  mermaids, and other characters. The decorations and props are easily made or purchased online.
  1. Movie Theatre: Invitations could be shaped like movie tickets with admit one on one side and the information for the party on the other. Set up the television room with rows of chairs like a theatre and choose a movie that kids love. You can make it an anime movie party, horror movie party or whatever the birthday child and their friends like the most.
  1. Phineas And Ferb Birthday Party: If your kids are like many others all you need say is, “I know what we are going to do today!” and they will know you are talking about Phineas and Ferb. These are unquestionably two of the coolest dudes in the Tri-State Area. It is easy to create an atmosphere of creativity laced with mayhem whether in your home or at a park. Parents can take onn the roles of Doofenshmirtz and the boys parents, and there are many places to buy things like plates, cups, napkins and the like with the theme already on it. Play games like where’s Perry the Platypus, Candace keep away, or you are so busted using water balloons. End the festivities with a ‘mow chica bow wow” air guitar contest.
