My Little Pony birthday party

by admin on October 22, 2012

Isn’t it amazing when certain toys are re-introduced and soon the whole young girl population is obsessed once again, a different generation but the same object of affection? Is your daughter a fan of the “My Little Pony” toys? Is she asking you for a My Little pony birthday party?

Twenty years ago, I was one of those little girls who were head over heels with My Little Pony and ended up celebrating my 5th birthday as a My Little Pony birthday party.

Invitations:

Depending on your budget and how much you wish to spend there is two both wonderful and creative options for developing your My Little Pony birthday party invitations.

On a tight budget, why not purchase some pink coloured card and create your very own My Little Pony set of birthday invitations. Available online are free printable’s of black and white My Little Ponies. Going with this option, you can make it a family affair and with a set of crayons, your daughter can have fun decorating the My Little Ponies before you glue them onto the pink coloured cards.

If your budget allows it and this works too, if you are only inviting a small number of children to your daughter’s My Little Pony birthday party. Head to your local department store and purchase a handful of the tiny My Little Pony toys and attach a little invitation to their tales. This works well if you are hand-delivering the invitations to the My Little Pony birthday party.

Games:

Galloping and trotting around trying to figure out what games to organise and have during your daughter’s My Little Pony birthday party?

Pin the Tail on the MLP

If you have butcher paper and a good drawer, then you can have them draw a picture of a My Little Pony. If not then, you can photocopy and enlarge a My Little Pony big enough to have hanging up on the wall for your children to use in a game of Pin the Tail on the My Little Pony. As they will probably be of the younger audience, you can blindfold them and lead them to the picture and let the child go and pin it where they think the tail is. The winner will be the person who gets it closest to the actual tail.

Musical MLP

Instead of Musical chairs, how about hosting for your My Little Pony birthday party, a game of Musical My Little Ponies. Have the children galloping and acting like ponies while the music is playing and then when the music stops, they have to find a seat to sit on.

Toss the Horseshoe

A fun game similar to tossing the ring at the fairgrounds, is tossing a horseshoe. Make sure that you have a lot of space for this activity and that the children are safe from not being hit with the horseshoes. Have a competition to see who can throw their horseshoe the furthest.

Design your own MLP

Available on the internet are printable of My Little Ponies, if you have younger children at the party. Then why not, have fun and let the children do a craft by creating and designing their very own My Little Pony.

Food:

Are your My Little Ponies tired from all the running around and ready for their tucker? What food do you serve at a My Little Pony birthday party?

Rainbow Fruit Platter – As shown on the My Little Ponies, they are big fans of Rainbows. Why not introduce a healthy rainbow coloured fruit platter with Red apples, Oranges, Yellow bananas, Green watermelon, Blueberries.

Candyfloss

A nice sugary treat, that will go down well due to its pink fluffiness is Candyfloss.

My Little Pony Fairy Bread

Made with white bread, butter and hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top , fairy bread is not only a great hit but also holds a magical feeling. Parents can also by using cookie cutters, turn the fairy bread into star, rainbows or even better My Little Pony shapes.

My Little Pony Birthday Cake

When choosing a My Little Pony birthday cake, there are two directions you could choose to go. The first is a basic option of making a round cake e.g. chocolate cake and purchasing a My Little Pony toy and placing it on top of the cake or if you have someone who has the creative cookery genes then another idea is to have a cake in the shape of a My Little Pony complete with the little star and rainbow patterns.
